The Spectator like Art-Work.

The Visual Contemporary Arts are characterized for taking charge of the means and objects of your environment and for a special fascination with the modals that there has created the speech of Art, museology, (like science of disposition, exhibition and symbolic yield) and the place and relation that it establishes with the observer.
In this interactive installation realized by Gonzalez & Tapia we can see a synthesis produces to itself among this three axles of work:
-
The museum like material of the work. The work includes explicitly and implicitly the condition of the Museum of Natural History (Chile) in your montage.
-
The condition of the spectator like object. The gesture of the work of including in his record and presenting to the spectator own image placed in the space of exhibition.
-
The catalogue like perishable record. This work plays with the extension possibility of the useful life of the exhibition by means of the records and the creation of catalogues.
In each of these axles the work tries to realize a disassembly and a sign by means of the synthesis of messages and symbols, that behind the first reading of Object - Phenomenon - Accident proposes an alteration of the speech turning it into "object of art ".
For it uses the displacement (physical and theorical) of the narrative elements: the bucket that emulates a room of museum, the movement and utilization of the dioramas of the principal tour of the permanent exhibition and the printing of a catalogue that appears as image, which is accumulated but it does not submit.
All that is Spectators' Catalogue, but also it is the surprise, the curiosity, the amazement, the incredulity and the judgments, prejudices and commentaries of those who are present at the museum and they find with a work that it needs them as element.
It is also this waste of paper of a catalogue that is not bound and that registers anonymous moments typifying them, codifying them. A catalogue that transforms in an museologic object and in an element of negotiation of a place in the circuit.
Finally, Spectators' Catalogue is an experiment controlled and an eventful experience, placed in a place of privilege it affirms and denies their strengths.
