Que\u00a0construir\u00e1 otra identidad que ser\u00e1 nuestra identidad.<\/p>\n<p>Los festejos por el Bicentenario de<br \/>\nla Independencia son la celebraci\u00f3n de esa promesa. Esa\u00a0ficci\u00f3n que otros, como nosotros, construyeron para sostener\u00a0un proyecto de emancipaci\u00f3n, autonom\u00eda y libertad.<\/p>\n<p>La cuesti\u00f3n es que los gestos\u00a0libertadores y los mitos fundacionales exceden las posibilidades\u00a0efectivas de su cumplimiento. Act\u00faan, dig\u00e1moslo, m\u00e1s\u00a0como un principio ordenador y unificante, que como un d\u00eda que\u00a0va a llegar.<\/p>\n<p>Porque esta es una promesa ambigua<br \/>\nque se hace carne en los hechos. Hechos que corresponden s\u00f3lo\u00a0parcialmente a su amor porque simult\u00e1neamente nos liberan y\u00a0nos atan.<\/p>\n<p>Las luchas materiales y simb\u00f3licas<br \/>\nnos suceden constantemente, entrecruzadas por los intereses que,\u00a0leg\u00edtimos o no, determinan nuestras conductas y nuestras\u00a0lecturas de la Historia. Toda promesa es herej\u00eda, toda\u00a0herej\u00eda, si triunfa, ser\u00e1 un mandamiento.<\/p>\n<p>Por eso hemos tra\u00eddo estas\u00a0fotograf\u00edas: por las oscuras referencias a la historia e<br \/>\nidentidad que hemos heredado, porque son un signo dispuesto a ser\u00a0adulterado, porque son un instante que persiste y se reitera,\u00a0educ\u00e1ndonos de tal manera que volvemos a anhelar la barbarie.<\/p>\n<p>Porque el cuerpo es el \u00faltimo\u00a0recurso y el soporte de toda riqueza, porque queremos creer que el\u00a0cuerpo es el territorio siempre al borde de ser independizado,\u00a0siempre en fuga y siempre sostenido en un discurso. That\u00a0will forge another identity that will engender our identity.<br \/>\nThe celebration of the\u00a0bicentennial is the celebration of this promise. A fiction created by\u00a0our predecessors in order to withhold a project of emancipation,\u00a0autonomy and freedom.<\/p>\n<p>The issue is that\u00a0emancipating gests and foundational myths exceed the effective\u00a0possibilities of their fullfillment. They act rather like a unifiying\u00a0principle, not like something that will be effective someday.<\/p>\n<div style=\"text-align: right;\">Because\u00a0this is an ambiguous promise, that is made flesh in the facts. And\u00a0the facts keep only a partial correlation to our love for the promise\u00a0because facts are simultaneously liberating and enslaving.<span class=\"style6\"> <\/span><\/div>\n<p>We live amidst material\u00a0and symbolic struggles, intertwined by different interests that\u00a0condition our behaviour and our interpretations of history. Every\u00a0promise is heresy, every heresy, when victorious, becomes a commandment.<\/p>\n<p>This is the reason why\u00a0we have brought these photographs: for the obscure references to the\u00a0history and the identity that we have inherited; because they are a\u00a0sign ready to be adulterated, an instant that persists and repeats\u00a0itself, educating us in such a way that we, once again, develope a\u00a0desire for barbarism.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\">Because the body is the\u00a0last resort, the basis of every wealth, because we want to believe\u00a0that the body is the territory always in the brink of independence,\u00a0always on the run, always referred in our discourse.
