The\u00a0visual arts clinic is an intervention which desires its consequences. The\u00a0most obvious one is trust consolidation because this strengthens\u00a0political and labor relationships between participants (individuals\u00a0and institutions).\u00a0The evaluation of this variable is simple: it\u00a0repeats itself or not.\u00a0Therefore, it needs an evaluation of six\u00a0to a twelve month term.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

The <\/span>long-term consequences are more difficult to evaluate.\u00a0In a\u00a0previous article<\/a>, we talked about how the autonomy atmosphere\u00a0necessary for the art clinic had been created.\u00a0One of the\u00a0variables that frames this possibility, has to do with the way in\u00a0which knowledge -that clinics put into circulation- is being\u00a0received and used. <\/span>This\u00a0has to do with <\/span><\/span>clinicees<\/span><\/em> (This neologism refers to the people who take the clinic)<\/span><\/span>.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

To\u00a0know something about the <\/span><\/span><\/span>clinicees<\/span><\/em>,\u00a0it<\/span><\/span> is necessary to establish their admission diagnosis, an assessment to\u00a0determine a range of treatment (argumentative). <\/span>Here\u00a0are some aspects to be considered.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The clinicees<\/em> arrive in various career development stages: from newbies looking to\u00a0be discovered -under the model of the actress who works as a\u00a0waitress near the film studio- to trajectory artists who seek to\u00a0raise their already established or declining careers through a\u00a0renewed impetus.\u00a0Between\u00a0these extremes, there are multiple combinations that build self-image\u00a0stereotypes and plans of action.<\/span><\/p>\n

Another\u00a0point to consider is the development\u00a0velocity on the race: there are careers that are -at full\u00a0speed- consuming resources, but have not consciously set goals and\u00a0strategies.\u00a0To some extent, they construct their working\u00a0procedures and work objects based on the urgency of production, the\u00a0rush of enunciation. <\/span>Others\u00a0base their development speed by seducing art spaces and these\u00a0achievements (or failures) are the ones that set the pace.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

One more,\u00a0is hybridization in art production both in working materials (objects\u00a0and concepts) as also in career deployment. Many artists combine,\u00a0complement or subordinate their careers to others, such as cultural\u00a0management, institutional or economic art-related professions and\u00a0even non artistic occupations.\u00a0In some cases this has to do with\u00a0the need of contingent, daily subsistence. These are cases where, as\u00a0Justo Pastor Mellado once said: \u00abthe house commits an outrage\u00a0against art.\u00bb<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Other clinicees<\/em> use as a strategy -to insert their art-pieces in high profile,\u00a0visible and\/or commercial circuits- the provision of visual arts\u00a0\u201cservice\u00bb\u009d capacities and functions throughout their\u00a0social contact network. This is another kind of task (not the\u00a0artistic one), which constitutes in the artwork or makes it possible.\u00a0Or both.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

This\u00a0is likely to know during the presentation\u00c3\u00a2\u00e2\u201a\u00ac\u00e2\u201e\u00a2s first couple of\u00a0minutes made by the clinicee: its structure, the articulation between\u00a0contents, emphasis and pauses tell us why they arrived to the clinic,\u00a0gives us an idea of their expectations and abilities, which\u00a0have\u00a0on their self-imposed mission. Discourse analysis provides the art\u00a0objects analysis – parameter and range.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

With all this topics, it is possible to know whether the fever is a\u00a0disease or just a symptom, and if it is healthier to eliminate or\u00a0increase it.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
