This residence is dedicated to the discussion, research and interventions related to pedagogical practices and knowledge circulation.
This includes collaborative work between participants and social organizations, throughout the production of workshops, records (such as photographs, video, sound, etc.), analytical texts and others. |

This residence is dedicated to the debate, research and production related social interventions; and the relationship between social and artistic imageries.
This includes collaborative work between the participants and neighborhood associations throughout the generation of actions, records (such as photographs, video, sound, etc.), analytical texts and others. |

This residence will be focused on debates, research and interventions in public places.
This includes collaborative work between the participants –throughout actions and photographic, audiovisual and textual productions- in public and private locations with open accessibility. |

The residences are oriented to contemporary visual artists, art historians and researchers, curators and other cultural agents.
Participation is by invitation and by an open application call.
The application period is between November 14th to November 30th, 2011.
Those selected will be contacted between November 28st to December 2nd, 2012, to confirm their participation.
Participants: 15 people (for each residence) |
Cost by participant: US$300.- |
Includes: Accommodation for 12 days in community dorms and breakfast. |
Does not include the transportation expenses to and from the residences locations.

How to apply: 1.- Open Call for contemporary visual artists, art historians and researchers, curators, art managers and other cultural workers. 2.- Postulations have to be sent by email to the following address: brainstorming@curatoriaforense.net, including a PDF with: personal data (name, email, phone, city of residence, birth date) + one paragraph explaining how to intervene in social processes (10 lines) + one brief text which describes possible connections between artistic and social imaginaries (15 lines) + one artistic work image (self-made or from others) with one paragraph description (10 lines). 3.- Submitting deadline: Wednesday, Nov. 30th, 2011. 4.- Selection confirmation: Friday, Dec. 2nd. 5.- Inscription process will be closed and reconfirmed previous Western Union (or bank) deposit.
Participation terms: 1.- The cost does not include transportation expenses to and from the residencies' locations. 2.- Accommodation will be in community dormitories (4 up to 8 people). 3.- In Valparaíso and Quito, lunch and dinner are not included. Group meals are planned. 4.- Participants will provide photographic and video recordings made during their stay. These will be included in digital editions and each residencies websites. 5.- Invitation letters will be extended to those selected to obtain aid funds for their participation. 6.-Certificates will be given after the conclusion of the residence. |
